Privacy Policy
This explains what HuntYourPath (huntyourpath.com), operated by PRTYSH.COM (“we”), collects, why, and who can see it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- From LinkedIn sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture. We use LinkedIn only to sign you in; we do not read your connections, messages or posts.
- From email sign-in: the email address you type, and the name you give us. We email you a one-time code to prove the address is yours; we do not store the code.
- What you enter: applications, candidates and goals you track (names, roles, stage dates, targets, results, notes and links), posts you publish (role, location, seniority, industry, skills, expiry and an optional link), connect requests with your optional message, and any decline note you write.
- Your settings and choices: your email and reminder preferences, an optional LinkedIn profile link you save, reports you file about posts, and people you block.
- Work-email verification: the work email you enter, its company domain, and the one-time code we send to it.
- Slack / Teams (optional): the webhook URL you paste, so we can post pipeline updates to your channel.
Candidate details you upload (recruiters)
If you add or import candidates, we store what you provide on your behalf: name, phone, email, current company, location, experience, current and expected pay (CTC), notice period, source, follow-up dates, links and notes. These details are private to your account. We do not show them to other users and we do not contact the candidates. They are removed when you remove the candidate, undo an import, or delete your account, and they are included in your data download. You are responsible for having the right to hold this information. If a candidate asks us to remove their details, they can write to [email protected] and we will look into it.
Who can see what
- “Open to work” posts are anonymous: others see the role and preferences, not your name.
- Hiring posts show your verified company. Referral offers show your first initial and verified company.
- Your email is shared with another user only after you approve their connect request (or they approve yours).
- Both people in a connect request can see its history (sent, approved, declined and any note) in their Inbox.
- Your tracker entries, including their notes and links, are private to you.
- A link on an “open to work” post is not shown publicly. Only someone whose connect request you approve can see it.
Cookies and local storage
We set one sign-in cookie (HTTP-only, kept for up to 30 days) so you stay signed in; signing out ends that session on our side too, and Settings has a “Sign out on all devices” button. Your browser also stores which mode (Candidate or Recruiter) you last used, your analytics choice, and which help tips from Hunter (the in-app helper) you have already seen. Google Analytics (below) sets its own cookies only if you accept. We do not use advertising cookies.
Analytics
If you click Accept on the banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks on outbound links, scrolling, and approximate location, device and browser. We also count actions such as signing up, adding an item, sending a connect request or opening the help tour. Only the name of the action is counted, never what you typed or chose. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, and we do not send your name, email or anything you type into the app to Google Analytics. Page addresses may include which tab you are viewing (for example /app/discover?tab=jobs). Nothing is requested from Google until you accept, and declining is one click. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a browser extension.
Services that process your data
- LinkedIn — sign-in, if you choose it.
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the site and API.
- Google (Analytics and Search Console) — site usage statistics and search visibility.
- Turso — database storage.
- Resend — sending verification, notification, reminder and support emails.
- GitHub — storing our encrypted nightly database backups.
- Slack or Microsoft Teams — only if you connect a webhook.
We do not sell your data.
Support messages
If you use “Message the HuntYourPath Team” in the Hunter help button, we store your message, the topic you picked, and (only if you leave the box ticked) the page you were on and your browser. To reply, we use your sign-in email; recruiters also share their verified work email, and candidates their LinkedIn profile link if they saved one. The panel tells you exactly what is shared before you send. We email you a ticket number and keep support messages for up to 12 months; they are deleted with your account. Replies happen by email, so those emails also sit in our mailbox.
Emails we send
We email you a code when you verify your work email. We also email your sign-in address when you receive a connect request or someone answers yours. These emails say only that something happened and link to your Inbox; they contain no contact details. You can turn them off in Settings.
If you choose a daily or weekly reminder in Settings (it is off unless you turn it on), we email you a summary of upcoming dates and quiet items from your own tracker. When you write to support, we email you a ticket confirmation and our replies.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in a database hosted by Turso on Amazon Web Services in Ireland (eu-west-1). The website and its API are delivered through Cloudflare’s global network.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Expired Discover posts are removed 90 days after they expire, connect requests after one year, and security logs after 90 days. Slack and Teams links are stored encrypted. We keep encrypted nightly backups of the database for 30 days, so data you delete from your account can remain in a backup until it ages out. You can delete your account yourself in Settings (everything tied to it is erased at once), or email us. Google Analytics keeps its detailed usage data for up to 14 months.
Your choices
You can remove your own tracker entries and posts inside the app, and disconnect Slack/Teams in Settings. You can download a copy of your data and delete your account in Settings. To access or correct anything else, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections and access controls. For more detail on how we protect data, email [email protected].
Contact for grievances
For any complaint about your data or your account, write to [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
